Ingredients:
2 pounds beef tenderloin strips
3 onions, sliced
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons flour (as a thickener)
1/2 cup of water
1/2 pounds Portobello mushrooms, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
For Garnish:
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
1 cup sour cream

Instructions:
1. Season the beef strips with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a skillet and sauté the beef strips and onions. Cook for 7-8 minutes over medium high heat. Until the meat juices are released.
2. Add the sliced Portobello mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce. Allow the mushrooms to cook and the sauce to reduce.
3. Gradually stir in the flour avoiding lumps and cook for 2-3 minutes.
4. When the meat is sticking to the pan, reduce the heat to medium and add water and stir well.
5. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the flour is incorporated with the sauce and it becomes thick.
6. Remove from heat. Add sour cream and parsley.
7. Serve with mashed potato and stir in the sour cream while it is hot.

Ingredients:
6 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 pound of beef sirloin strips
1 pound of egg noodles (cooked according to package directions)
1/3 cup onions, chopped finely
1/2 pound cremini or Portobello mushrooms, sliced

1/2 teaspoon of dry tarragon
1 cup of sour cream
