• Melted margarine or butter
• Fresh cranberries, (if frozen, must be thawed first)
• White sugar
• Cold water
• Vanilla flavored ice cream, divided and softened
• Chopped pistachios

Instructions:
1. Begin by greasing a pan lightly.
2. In a bowl, mix well the butter and the cookies. Press down onto the pan and freeze for an hour until the mixture has become firm.
3. Use a medium saucepan to blend the syrup, cranberries, water and sugar. Allow the mixture to boil and cook the berries for 10 to 12 minutes.
4. Next, transfer the contents to a blender and process the ingredients until smooth and frothy.
5. Pour the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until it has cooled.
